Bon Air in Chesterfield County is included in this search as it is physically an extension of the city areas described above, but is part of the Chesterfield School system. Bon Air began as a Victorian resort for Richmonders eager to escape what were then the unsanitary and unpleasant conditions of the city during the hot summer months, thus the name Bon Air (good air).
